As we all know, social media is huge in today's world. If you don't have Facebook or Instagram, everyone gasps and stares at you like they did in third grade when you said that you didn't believe in God.
LA Times has an article up about Snapchat's marketing to attract people over the age of 35. Snapchat is an app in which you can take pictures and videos that your followers can open but self-destruct right after. It's popular among the younger crowd, but apparently it's growing in numbers amongst the 35+ crowd. The common idea seems to be that the app allows family connection.
Would you use Snapchat to see what your kids are up to? Or send updates about your happy retired life as your kids are building their own lives elsewhere?

To continue the talk on New Year's Resolutions, how about creating those SMART Goals and then Snapchatting about your progress as another way to build accountability? Snapchat yourself going to the gym, going on a hike, writing in your calendar, cooking, etc. It's a visual diary that self-destructs! So if you don't reach your goal that week, document via Snapchat, it self-destructs, and you move on!
