Hi everybody! I am excited to announce that I will be holding my first free community workshop on Stress Management at the Cahuenga Branch Library in East Hollywood on Saturday, March 5, 2016, 2-3pm. Everyone experiences stress at some point in their lives, whether it's from school, parents, kids, money, work, health, etc. With more awareness into what exactly causes you stress and how you can manage it, you can prevent acute stress from developing into long-term problems that affects your health and wellness. Many of us know this, but how many of us make goals to live a "stress-free" life but give up after going to yoga for a few weeks?
My workshop is one part in a series called "Build a SMARTer Lifestyle," and my goal is for you to leave feeling empowered with new strategies to manage your health and with a specific method to write goals (SMART Goals) so that you are better able to stick to it in the long run.
In this Stress Management workshop, I will be talking about how stress affects our bodies and minds in the short-term and the long-term and introducing some strategies to manage your stress levels. The workshop will be an interactive one in which participants will brainstorm and share stress management strategies that have worked for them. Some of the best ideas we get from each other! At the end of the session, you will choose one or two of the strategies that you would like to try and learn how to create a SMART goal.
It's a free workshop and open to everybody, so come join! RSVP here, and email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. See you there!
